20年の歳月を経てバッハの無伴奏全曲が遂に完結！
世界最高峰のヴァイオリニスト、ヒラリー・ハーンによる待望のJ.S.バッハ作品集『ヒラリー・ハーン・プレイズ・バッハ』がデッカから登場！
ヒラリーは1997年にCDデビュー（ソニー）、そのデビュー盤がバッハの無伴奏作品（ソナタ第3番、パルティータ第1番＆第2番）でした。
そしてこの10月にリリースされる『ヒラリー・ハーン・プレイズ・バッハ』をもって、実に20年の時を経て『無伴奏ヴァイオリンのためのソナタとパルティータ』全曲が完成することになります。
デビューからの約20年間で彼女の音楽性は深化の一途を辿りました。
レパートリーは幅広くなり、ヴァイオリン協奏曲の王道的な作品を発表しながら、現代作品に至るまで広く取り上げる現代屈指のヴァイオリニストになりました。
2003年にドイツ・グラモフォンに移籍した後は、グラミー賞2度受賞（ソニー時代にも1回受賞）を果たすなど、更に磨きの掛かった技術と音楽性で人々を魅了してきました。
今回デッカから発表されたバッハ・アルバムは、これまで歩んできたおよそ20年という歳月を振り返りながら初心に立ち戻り、新たな世界への一歩を力強く踏み出さんとする確かな意思を感じ取れる、研ぎ澄まされた音色に満たされています。
