伊ジャズ界でもっとも厚い信頼を集めるルーカ・マンヌッツァの本命プロジェクト、サウンド・シックス。コンポーザーとして珠玉の作品を多く残すマンヌッツァが、これまでに発表された作品の中でも選りすぐりの楽曲に新たな息を吹き込む本作は、セクステット編成による再演というよりも、実際に作曲の段階から彼のブレインに響く音楽、ハーモニーと息づかいをより色鮮やかに伝えるもの。マックス・イオナータ （ts）の参加はもとより、本作に彩りを添えるのは著しい成長と飛躍を感じさせるパオロ・レッキア（as）である。

Luca Mannutza, one of the finest composers, pianists, project leaders in the international contemporary jazz scene. The second album of Sound Six features his composer's facet, where he works on again his edited compositions, but here in sextet (previously perfomed in quintet or quartet). The project never means his anthology or a bunch of self covers… "My Music" demonstrates how the music sounds inside this great composer, interpreted by original harmonies, breaths and intonations.
